How to build a statue of your Minecraft skin

Turn any skin into a block statue: choosing the scale, hollow or solid, which blocks to use, and building from the layer sheets.

Open the Statue GeneratorTurn a skin into a buildable block statue with layers and a materials list.

A player statue is a giant version of the skin: each skin pixel becomes one block (or a 2×2, 3×3, 4×4 patch at bigger scales). The Statue Generator does the matching and prints the layers; here’s how to build from them.

Choosing a scale

  • Scale 1 is 32 blocks tall — about 1,100–1,600 blocks hollow. A weekend build in survival.
  • Scale 2 is 64 blocks tall and roughly four times the blocks. Looks spectacular; plan materials with the stacks tile.
  • Above scale 2 you’re building a landmark. Use creative or a large crew.

Hollow or solid?

Hollow is the default and is what you want in almost every case — blocks float, so nothing needs support. Solid only matters if you’ll cut rooms into the statue or want it to survive explosions.

Blocks

The generator picks the closest block colour from the palettes you allow. For a faithful skin, allow wool, concrete and terracotta. If your skin is mostly one hue, the palette section shows which blocks got used — you can untick a set to force simpler materials.

Building

  1. Build layer 1 (the feet) on flat ground. The layer view is drawn from above with the front of the statue at the top.
  2. Use the grey ghost of the layer below to align each new layer; the dashed centre line helps.
  3. The letter codes on each block match the legend — copy the layer as text if you’d rather read it than look at colours.
  4. Arms in the T-pose and waving poses float; build them off the shoulder outward.

Download the “all layers” sheet and keep it on a second screen — it’s the whole build on one image.
